| Future Cities for 'Generation Next' Cities are prime drivers of economic growth. As many cities in the world today do not enjoy the supply of daily necessities and basic infrastructure, it is even more worrying how these cities will resolve the ills of climate change in the near future. These challenges are complex and the world needs to come together for a common cause – to derive new and creative solutions so that cities in the future can remain sustainable. Every city is unique and has its charm. It is up to the new generation of youths and students to come up with suggestions and ideas that will help resolve these teething issues. It will be an exciting learning journey where young people and students from different parts of the world come together to share these solutions and exchange their views on various keynote issues which are pivotal to make their cities more 'liveable' in the years to come. This project aspires to do the above-mentioned and it is my pleasure to welcome you on board and join the rest of the students on an enriching experience to learn, share and collaborate ideas that will help improve the state of life in our cities and propose new practices that, hopefully, in due time, will transform our cities for its future citizens. Signing off, Mr. Kelvin Yew Project Coordinator, Liveable Cities for ‘Generation Next’ Millennia Institute, Singapore | |
